Client: Health Promotion Board

At agency, I lead the team creating the now absorbed Bitesize product for HPB.

Project: Our involvement started with the initial deep dive user research into helping Overweight Singaporeans take the first steps to better health and followed through until the tools planned absorption into Healthy365.

Brief: Bitesize was about creating a tool that helped those who felt alienated by typical fitness products find routine first, and fitness later.

Role: Design Lead, managing a team of 2 agency designers, 2 HPB designers and 6 developers from ThoughtWorks.

Timing: 6 months

Bitesize was an experimental product, using experimental techniques.

I’ve always been a strong believer in being medium-agnostic. When building prototypes, I always lean to what best get’s the experience we desire across first before designing the form in which we think is best to deliver in.

Roleplaying a conversation to prototype a chatbot or creating a take-home booklet to test the concept of taking the first steps to better health.

Managing this project alongside leading the design meant creating a fluid design system and constant oversight.

We designed and maintained a Design System for Bitesize that grew each sprint with a twice a week design reviews with myself and the product owner.

Due to the speed we were working at, I also led the branding portion, creating the visual and written design patterns closely with a copy-writer.
